The name of F-Prot, which has been operating since 1993, will be familiar to users who have a computer since its first period. These older users have probably experienced the very old F-prot virus scanning tools. F-Prot, which is sold for money in the Windows operating system, is offered for free for DOS, BSD, Solaris, and Linux for home users. These free versions are available on the F-Prot site. F-Prot scans about 850,000 viruses. However, this number is a total value for all operating systems. In other words, we are not talking about a separate value for the Linux version and a separate value for Windows. The good thing is that if the Windows operating system is infected, you can scan on Linux without opening Windows at all. It is a very good choice especially for Linux users in terms of effectiveness, large virus library, speed and ease of use.
