Canva as a successor of Adobe?

CEO and Co-Founder Melanie Perkins announced a new goal for their company. Canva wants to be a new Adobe Creative Cloud or even Microsoft Office. Due to fact, they are number one in the online web design field. The dream is not far from the truth. Canva made a significant improvement from its beginning in 2012 and now offers more than just static sites and junky design. For example, in 2017, they involved Canva Animator for dynamic websites, and everybody can easily apply videos, emerging text, and many more features to their sites. Rick Baker also believes that Canva can become the next Adobe suite. He said, "[With the top 20 tech companies in the world], the magic behind them … is a very strong core product that creates very strong cash flow, and then they have the ability to use the cash flow and expertise created around that to widen out their tech. If it can do that, we then start talking about products like Microsoft Office or Google apps, and it can become a platform based on a strong, cash-generative engine in its core graphic design product."

The numbers speak for themselves. Last Canva post revealed data about valuing the company at US$1B. That makes them a second corporation in Australia who receive "unicorn status." Also, get an award as "#1 best place to work in Australia" in 2018, and these stats are visible on customers. Over 13 designs are created on Canva every second, and most of all reviews have positive feedback. Also, more investors start visiting Australia thanks to Canva.

Overall I think the future is not clear and Canva may evolve into something very different. For now, Adobe is still number one if you want a professional look, however Canva is a great opportunity for newbies to customize their own websites.
